Because six players currently have better odds than Mahomes to win NFL MVP this season.

“ What are we doing here, people?” he said. “I want the best player in the NFL. I want maybe one of the best players that's ever played in NFL history. I don't care if he's coming off injury. What is going on here?”

The theme of this week’s show was to look at the odds for six prominent NFL awards and assess which players (besides Mahomes) were good fits based on their analytics and the history of NFL awards voting.
