Meanwhile, on the latest episode of The Off The Charts Football Podcast, representatives from our operations team and our R&D team got together to go over some of their summer scouting and film watching, and attempt to forecast which players will be first-round-pick worthy in the next NFL Draft. They went through a lot of them.
One of the points of this episode was not to just to celebrate the top players but to raise questions on players like Texas wide receiver Cam Coleman, a transfer from Auburn.
“ Cam Coleman is not somebody that rates very well with our metrics,” said our scouting analyst, Jordan Edwards. “A lot of that kind of stuff is that their quarterback play at Auburn last year was not very good … How does he do in more of a real offense with one of the better play callers in Steve Sarkisian? How can he use him? How can he help Arch Manning out? And then how much can the offense help the receiver out? I think that he's going to be good. There's a lot of questions here but the talent is pretty undeniable though with Coleman.”
