Reviewing Week 0, Previewing Week 1
The college football season is underway and our crew analyzed some of its biggest takeaways from Week 0 and looked ahead to Week 1 on this week's episode of Off the Charts.
Here are 5 things they discussed.
1) What to make of TCU quarterback Jaden Craig? In the Harvard transfer's debut, the numbers provided a contrast to how he looked.
" The ball had zip on it," said one of our analysts, Andrew Oja. "He had good footwork in the pocket. He had good presence and awareness of the constant pressure that was coming his way."
2)The plays Nathan Hayes made for North Dakota State.
" The layered passes over the second level were just stuff that you see from a true NFL prospect,” Oja said.
3) How Charlie Huff of Memphis outcoached Dan Mullen of UNLV.
4) Why they're excited about Duke-Tulane. Bryce Rossler explained what the numbers show about Walker Egett, who was Top 20 in Total Points for San Jose State. “ Most of his credit comes from throw value proposition and sack avoidance.”
5) Is the loser of Louisville-Ole Miss out of contention for a playoff spot already? Not so fast say our guys.
